Aren't you right on the ball? Great sequence - congrats! I, on the other hand, stood there immobilized as the Barred Owl flew right by my head :)

Thanks Kin!! but I meant other then the size of the owl (which I know females are larger and yes..lay eggs lol) Is there/ or has anyone seen any distinguishing factors that would separate the two?

As far as I know there is no way to tell besides size

After 3 years of birding I finally got to see my first Barred Owl last weekend at Presqu'ile. Actually not only 1 but 3 thanks to the help of some great spotters.
What gorgeous birds they are!
