Hi everyone,
I joined a small group of 7 hardy birders today to bird along the lake. The original plan was to go as far as Burlington but we succumbed to the dreary weather and returned to warm homes earlier than expected.
Nothing very unusual but nonetheless we were happy to see:
Humber Bay Park
5 Ruddy Ducks
3 Canvasback
10 Gadwall
1 Horned Grebe
2 White-winged Scoter
2 Hooded Mergansers
2 Trumpeter Swans
2 Song Sparrows singing
1 Red-winged Blackbird singing very enthusiastically.
Colonel Sam
1 Northern Shrike singing
Lakeshore Promenade
1 American Wigeon
15 Gadwall
good birding,
-Alvan
