Title: that camera bag is SQUEAKING!
Post by: dbellilo on March 10, 2011, 04:16:46 PM
hi there folks!
do any of you camera luggers have problems with your squeaking bags? If so, can you recommend any lovely solutions? Mine is some kind of low-end Lowepro and it's the nylon pulling against the plastic where the strap connects to the bag, that's what's doing the squeaking. I've heard about all kinds of ideas - cooking oil spray, WD40, and best of all, throwing out the strap and getting one with metal hardware instead.
Any ideas? Are any of you equally frustrated?
Many thanks and all the best
David Bell

The best place to contact is the manufacturer for advise:

Thanks Michael,
I've sent Lowepro an e-mail, and if they offer any advice, I'll post it here - in case anyone else is having the same problem...

And indeed,
They've told me that they'll mail me a "replacement part" although I can't imagine what it might be...perhaps a new strap with metal hardware instead of plastic? we'll see...i'm awfully surprised to hear that no-one else suffers from this lowdown affliction...
