Hi everyone. I was walking at Maplewood Park this afternoon between 12:45-1:15pm ... no birds or squirrels anywhere. Very odd, especially as there didn't seem to be any hawks around. So, wandered down to Lake Aquitaine and walked around there until 2:15pm. Bumped into forum member "Twojugs" and his wife out birding. It was great seeing and talking with them. :D
Sighted the following:
Canada Geese - a few. Have been sighting hundreds flying by heading North lately.
Cardinals x 2 (1m, 1f)
Common Grackle x 1
Crows - lots
Gulls - lots
House Sparrows - lots
Juncos - lots
Mallards - lots
Mourning Doves - a few
Red-breasted Nuthatches x 3
Red-winged Blackbirds (male) x 8
Robins x 5
Lake Aquitaine: SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Aquitaine Ave., behind the Meadowvale Community Centre.
Maplewood Park: East side of Glen Erin Dr., just North of Aquitaine Ave.

Have you seen any sign of the Coopers setting up in the park?

Hi Ostrich .. see my post "Mr. n Mrs. Cooper" two on same branch a couple of weeks ago at Maplewood. Also saw both yesterday .. one was squaking repeatedly ..think it was the female. They were about 100 yds. apart.
