Post by: Bird Brain on March 16, 2011, 04:47:33 PM
Hi everyone.  Today at 3:30pm ... one Turkey Vulture soaring around the NE corner of Derry Rd. W./Syntex Dr., appearing quite happy and healthy.  :)

Ok, I'll bite - how can you tell he (she?) was happy and healthy - to me they all just look ugly! :)

Howieh ... he looked at me, smiled and winked.

I love Turkey Vultures - they're quite fascinating.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!  :D
The feathers appeared to be in great condition and he was enjoying the mild weather.

Hi Richard.  Do you look at the ONTBIRDS site?  Looks like people have been sighting Turkey Vultures from Monday onwards, various locations in Ontario.  I can't wait to see them in large numbers at Kelso Lake, Milton.   8)
