Last night, at 6:30 pm, a Turkey Vulture swooped over our neighbourhood (Bathurst/Sheppard area). That was a nice surprise, so early in the season.
Today, the Robins were plentiful. Their "tutting" even drowned out the Cardinals' whistling. There were Grackles overhead, and I noticed the Goldfinches have started to moult.
I've been seeing a Pileated Woodpecker flying around this area, too. Last week, our daughter saw it banging on one of the trees in Ellerslie Park. She was amazed to see such a large woodpecker.

Hi Napper,
I like visiting the Mockers at Downsview Park, too. I go to Carl Hall Rd, where it crosses the train tracks. Last summer, I listened to a male go through his his whole repertoire.
