Title: Eastern Screech Owls on a private residence
Post by: Rob'in'To on March 22, 2011, 04:11:35 PM
Ran into a co-worker the other day outside of work, who had a friend of his with him.  In our conversation, the individual made mention of a pair of Eastern Screech Owls living at the back of his property.  So, I was invited to come have a look and take a couple photos.

These are quite cropped as I kept my distance.  The one didn't have a care in the world; but the other was aware of our presence which prompted me to cut the picture taking short.  Not that there was much more to photograph...  a sleeping Owl and another one looking back at me.

Rob ... I love your first photo!  8) Super cute and having a good sleep.  Owl in photo #2 looks really p.o.'ed!

Nice! Nice to see in the second shot he/she's all stretched out.

I didn't notice the second one at first (who was closer), but when I did...  I backed away.  It never flew off which is good or I would have felt pretty bad.  Funny the difference between the two, eh?

Beautiful, I especially like the expression on the second one. I keep hoping I'll find an owl of any type (other then the few I saw in owl woods)

Hi Rob, great stuff, I'm jealous! The  second shot is classic.
You don't see them stretched out like that very often.
