Today, a hungry Robin came to our backyard suet feeder (Bathurst & Sheppard area). It spent a lot of time sitting on the cage and occasionally taking a bite of suet. At first, the Downy Woodpeckers were afraid of this bully sitting on their food. Eventually, they all found a way to share. Our daughter took the attached pictures.
This is the second year in a row that I've had Robins coming to the suet feeder when there was little else for them to eat. Has anyone else had Robins coming to their feeders?

WE ALSO HAD A MINOR SCUFFLE TODAY BETWEEN A LARGE , RATHER VERY LARGE WOODPECKER , AND A ROBIN. There are 2 robins setting up a nest near our yard, as they do EVERY year atthe same time + place,,,, and they keep me awake from 3am - 7am ....
I have never seen a scrap between these two birds.
