Title: Grebes at Sam Smith
Post by: mr.sharp-photo on March 29, 2011, 08:31:50 PM
I spent an hour at Col Sam Smith.
Some of the grebes were relatively close to the shoreline.
There were around a dozen red necked grebes swimming on the southernmost point around 50-100 ft from the shore.  Another 6 or so were on the eastern shores. 1 horned grebe was swimming among them.
There was a single horned grebe that was swimming in the inner harbour closer to the south side as well.
