Hey!
I've been sitting on my deck for the last 2 hours enjoying the weather although it is starting to cool off.
I have my laptop and my camera with me. playing with Multi exposure images moon and airplanes.
I thought I heard a White crowned sparrow, Just to check it out I played the sound from the bird. Nope not it. "Song sparrow with a variation"
So I proceed to play various bird songs including a Common Redpoll. Funny a few minutes later a Redpoll shows up in the tree. Hmmm.
All excited I grab a few images and the bird leaves a little while later.
15 minutes later I see what I think is the same bird in the neighbours tree 100 feet away. Out of curiosity i play the redpoll sound again.
The bird came right towards me decided I wasn't a Redpoll turned back and landed in the tree in front of me. It kept looking around like it was trying to find
a friend.
I didn't think that this could ever happen..I Haven't seen a Redpoll all Winter.
Yeah I played the Tufted Titmouse and nothing happened
I'll upload the pics after supper

I have a Northern Cardinal ring tone on my mobile. It went off in my pocket, when in the backyard a couple weeks ago and a male Cardinal came out of the cedars all full of rage ready to take on the intruder. If I ever saw confusion in a bird's face, that was the day. Now I keep the ringer off when out there.
