Post by: feathered on April 12, 2011, 07:14:02 PM
I spent two hours at the park today and saw 40 species, staying mostly north of the marina. I noticed a few female RWBBs in among the males, along with the usuals and droves of robins, cowbirds and grackles. The migrants included:

1 Yellow-rumped Warbler
2 Eastern Towhees
1 Hermit Thrush
5 Fox Sparrows
10 Tree Swallows
2 Barn Swallows
2 Northern Flickers
1 Eastern Phoebe
1 Winter Wren
10 Golden-crowned Kinglets

I didn't see the herons but there was a pair of Blue-winged Teal and a single Pied-billed Grebe in the marshy area.
