At around 4 pm today I observed a peregrine chasing pigeons over the parking lot at the mall, by the above ground parking garage. I watched it for about five minutes from the bus stop before it disappeared in the direction of the Trillium Health Centre.

I saw a Peregrine doing the same thing at Agincourt mall in Scarborough chasing pigeons! Must be a Peregrine trait of course! The Peregrine I saw I think is from the Yellow Pages building site on Markham Rd at the 401. He seems to range over a lot of NE Scarborough! Cheers Terry

Whittman your Peregrine was likely one nesting at Markham and Milner atop the Yellow Pages building. They are on eggs there.

I was thinking mine might be one of the ones from Sun Life - about 7 km away. How far do they usually range to hunt?
-
Hi Feathered, not sure about how far,but 2km certainly isnt out of the question. There is also a 2nd nest in Etobicoke on a private residence serviced by the same male Peregrine as at Sunlife. It can be seen from the roof of the Sunlife building,so Jack the resident male can keep an eye on both of his females.

ROB!!!
In all seriousness though, can't wait to hear about some chicks being born. :D We saw the ad in the Toronto Star about Quest, and also the part on Global News and 680 News, hope this stirs up lots of interest in CPF and the Peregrine Falcons. :D

If I tried anything like that medical science would have my body within a week! The Love Goddess is very sweet but she's quite possessive and she's all business! :)
