Bronte Creek is one of those hit/miss places for us. Sure, always commoners around but today was definitely the best time ever of the 4 visits we've had in the past two years.
Yellow-rumped Warblers
Pine Warblers
Brown Creepers
WBNHs
Hairy Woodpeckers
Downy Woodpeckers
Chickadees
Eastern Pheobe
Northern Flickers
Turkey Vulture
Red-tail Hawks
Red-winged Blackbirds
Robins
Golden-crowned Kinglets
Ruby-crowned Kinglets

I still can't believe how many Brown Creepers we saw!! And I was so excited to see my first Warblers and Kinglets of the season!! :D

Did you see any bluebirds at Bronte, I have seen them many times when I go there, they are usually at the back of the kite field hanging around the bluebird boxes that were put up?
-
Kite field?
We went right down to Lot F and stayed back there. Bluebirds were in the back of our head to keep an eye open for, checked the one field down that way but with a family function later in the afternoon we ran out of time. Also, there was some Easter Egg hunt for dogs in A and B areas and the person at the gate said to avoid those spots if birding.
Do the Bluebirds stay at Bronte through the season? Might have to go back again soon. We usually only see Bluebirds up Carden way.

I am not sure about staying all year, but I first saw them in Jan and every time I have been there since. They were going in and out of the nesting boxes so I believe they nest there.
I don't know the area numbers but the kite field is right behind the large parking lot of the rec centre

Good to know for next time. Thanks for the map and the circlings. We were close, just east of there. And if I am correct, on the other side of that field.
