Had a great day in Algonquin Park with many amazing sightings.
There were many Moose hanging out near the side of Hwy 60 lapping up the salty
water.
Also had a thrill of a lifetime seeing two Wolves. One was only 25 feet away till he quietly
slipped away into the bush. No chance for a photograph but a memory I will never forget.
Here`s a shot of a Moose.
If you want to see Moose in the wild, the time to go to Algonquin Park will be in the next four weeks.

Nice photo, but wolves are even nicer!

We are planning a trip to Algonquin in a couple of weeks. Usually do the Mizzy Trail. Just wondering what the conditions were for you - any snow or ice on the trails ?
Super photo of the moose.

Hi Molebird,
We were just up there yesterday. The lakes are all wide open now. There is still some snow on the ground. But not too much.
I am not sure of the condition of the Mizzy Lake trail. You could not drive up Arowhon Road, it was still blocked off. We walked the Spruce bog yesterday and it was fine.
Many other roads are still blocked off also.
Saw 5 Moose on an absolutely beautiful day!
There are some pics of the Moose here:

Thanks Walter.
I appreciate the kind words.
Glad you liked the photos of the Moose!
The Wolf sighting last week was very exciting. You know they
are there but you really never expect to see them.
