Went to Shell Park this morning hoping the fallout was still on and there were birds everywhere! Never seen so many white-throated sparrows, hermit thrushes, kinglets and Yellow-rumped warblers. In all the birds did see a Hooded warbler (thanks Mark Jennings), Northern Parula, Louisiana and Northern Waterthrushes, Ovenbird, Black-throated Blue and Green warblers, Black and white,Pine, Palm and Nashville warblers for 12 species.
Other birds included an early Baltimore oriole, great-crested flycatcher, many purple finches and rusty blackbirds and a meadowlark in the soccer field with robins and blackbirds. Sparrows included eastern towhee, lincoln's, field, swamp, savannah, white-throated and white-crowned, fox, chipping and song.

Most birds are seen in the woodlot behind the garden plots across the bridge. Boots recommended :)
Great start to migration, have photos of Hooded and other birds seen today at

A Hooded, huh? Very nice. I might take a pop down there myself as your post indicates a lot of activity. Thanks for contributing.
