Title: Chimney Swifts May 1 Sam Smith Park
Post by: Leslie Kinrys on May 01, 2011, 09:45:30 PM
We had a chance for a little birding at Colonel Samuel Smith today, before the rain chased us indoors. We had a flock of 15 Chimney Swifts fly by the lake front. On the water, we saw Horned Grebes and Red-necked Grebes. There were Gadwalls and Buffleheads hanging around with them. Walking on the path from the water to the parking lot, we had one Eastern Kingbird. The park is located at Kipling and Lakeshore.
