Title: Grasshopper sparrow and Blue winged warbler @ Long Sault
Post by: beresford on May 10, 2011, 06:48:42 PM
Today while trekking through Long Sault I spotted my first ever Grasshopper sparrow and a mating pair of blue winged warblers. I enjoyed great looks at both birds.

Gotta love spring!

Also spotted were:

-nashville warbler and common yellowthroat
-osprey (flying over)
-mating pair of eastern bluebirds
-field sparrow
-rose breasted grosbeak
-2m e. towhees
-red-tailed hawk
-e. phoebe
-broad-winged hawk- a real surprise as it stayed perched in a tree not too far away

Happy birding
