Title: on the way home from work
Post by: gary yankech on May 17, 2011, 06:30:39 PM
When heading home from work, occasionally I will take Reesor Road instead of Markham. When I do, I stop by Reesor Pond, Just north of 407 and Reesor Rd.  Today, I spotted three Swallow species (Tree, Barn and Cliff) clumped together on one tree. Spooked a Great Blue Heron as I was trying to get a good look at a few Spotted Sandpipers. A couple of Eastern Kingbirds kept following me as I walked around the pathway. Two warblers, Yellow and Yellow-rumped sat watching over the pond. Heard a killdeer off in the distance. Finally, I spent a good long look at a Savannah Sparrow. I only spent 20 minutes there, but well worth it.
This time I did not have my camera. Oh well.
