Title: Ashbridges Bay - May 21
Post by: mr.sharp-photo on May 21, 2011, 09:53:37 AM
I did some morning birding. Just a quick disclaimer: AB usually is unimpressive during the morning. I find that birds come out after 8:30 and are their strongest before noon and even in mid-afternoon.

I caught a quick glimpse if a male scarlet tanager. it disappeared quickly.
warbler-wise, there really was nothing. saw a few vireos, a handful of yellow warblers and one american redstart.
Even the sparrow population was quite sparse.

Again, take it with a grain of salt due to the time I birded and due to the very sunny weather.
