Post by: Bird Brain on May 28, 2011, 08:07:25 PM
Hi everyone.

This afternoon between 1-2pm, I was walking around Maplewood Park and sighted the following:

Cardinal x 1 (male)
Chipping Sparrows x 2
Crows x 2
House Sparrows - lots

Maplewood Park:  East side of Glen Erin Dr., just North of Aquitaine Ave.

From 2-5pm, walked around Lake Aquitaine and sighted the following:

Baltimore Oriole x 1 (male).  I was thrilled to see this gorgeous guy as haven't seen or heard one at the lake for years!  He was just past Exercise Machine #1.

Canada Goose - lots including mom with one gosling swimming around close to dock.

Cardinal x 1 (male)
Crows x 2
Grackles - lots
Gulls - lots
House Sparrows - lots

Mallard - lots including mom with 5 ducklings (duckling #6 is gone).

RWBB's - lots of males and females.
Robins - lots including one female in nest.
Starlings - a few.

Lake Aquitaine:  SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Aquitaine Ave., behind the Meadowvale Community Centre.
