This has really been an interesting spring for birds showing up in our yard. Saturday night we had a pair of Swainson's Thrushes show up for food and drink. Yesterday morning while out doing a bit of gardening, I had a rather friendly Savannah Sparrow on the ground in front of me only 6 feet away and last night a male Blackpoll Warbler flew in and sat on a branch for a brief rest before a House Sparrow came and chased him away.
