Post by: Bird Brain on May 30, 2011, 01:41:46 PM
Hi everyone.  I was walking around Lake Aquitaine between 8-10am then my mom was visiting in the afternoon so we walked around the lake from 2:30-4:30pm.  Sighted the following:

Baltimore Oriole x 1 (male) - directly above Exercise Machine #1 (West end of lake, close to dock and public washrooms)

Blue Jays - a few

Canada Geese x 14 - 13 adults and 1 gosling.

Cardinals - males singing up a storm.
Goldfinches x 2 (1m, 1f)
Grackles - lots

Great Blue Heron x 1 - flying NE just above water, male RWBB "trying" to dive bomb!

House Sparrows - lots

Mallards - lots plus now down to 4 ducklings from 6.

RWBB's - lots of males and females.
Robins - lots
Starlings - a few

Lake Aquitaine:  SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Aquitaine Ave, behind the Meadowvale Community Centre.
