Title: Maplewood Park - Monday, May 30th
Post by: Bird Brain on May 30, 2011, 01:50:03 PM
Hi everyone.  I was walking around Maplewood Park this morning between 10:30-11:30am and sighted the following:

Cardinals x 2 (1m, 1f)
Chipping Sparrows x 5
Crows x 4
House Sparrows - lots

Could hear a Baltimore Oriole but not sighted.
Could hear lots of Red-breasted Nuthatches but not sighted.

Heard one loud "Cack!" coming from direction of Cooper's Hawk nest at 10:45am then quiet.   Very difficult to sight the nest from the paved trail at the moment and woods are extremely wet and muddy!

Maplewood Park:  East side of Glen Erin Dr., just North of Aquitaine Ave.
