Title: Chimney swifts near Trinity Bellwoods?
Post by: mr.sharp-photo on June 05, 2011, 10:14:56 PM
We went for dinner last night (mmmm...Black Hoof...) and on our way back to the car, we saw some flying cigars circling around the homes just north of Dundas on Bellwoods Ave.
There is a church half a block away, so perhaps they live there.
Anyone ever spot them near T-B before?

Yes, I am in fact doing a survey of Chimney Swifts in that area. Yes, there are 5 swifts roosting in the Church chimney, and several more in the building just north of there. If you see other suspect nesting sites in the area, please let me know. Thanks

We have a few that fly over and around our yard daily, but I don't know where they are nesting. If you need more info, pm me.
