Here are some shots of the male Red-Necked Grebe gathering nesting material
I definitely picked the wrong time of day to go down there. At the time I was more into the possitioning of the sun for optimal suntanning, not photographing.
I'll have to venture down there when the light is not so harsh.
These Grebes have 1 egg down from 3, but everyone is crossing their fingers that this will be a successful year.

I went there this morning to check it out
one of the nests (the one I took pictures of on Sunday is gone) although there is a nest with an egg on it (white) but it was more west of where the grebe's nest was
now there is a second nest that I spotted and the Grebe was sitting on it...the Grebe Saga continues...keep ye fingers crossed!
