Hey
What are these white tufts of fluff floating everywhere I look today?Where are they coming from?
We are surrounded by Oaks, Maples and pines.
Yesterday the wind was blowing Yellowish-Green pollen from the Pine tree next door. The Pollen was so thick it looked like smoke,
everything is covered in yellow. Cough. Cough.
Red Eyed Vireo singing incessantly
song sparrows calling
Chipping sparrows
Eastern Phoebe all day long
Great Crested Flycatcher.Mornings
Eastern Wood Peewee Mornings
Chickadee's all day long
White Breasted Nuthatch occasionally
American Goldfinch's occasionally
Cardinals in the distance.

With regards to the white tufts, do you have any poplar trees nearby?
We had one old tree put out so much fluff one year my driveway and front lawn looked snow covered!

Our neighbour had a poplar tree and every year, the weekend of some big golf tournament in June, we would get the white fluffies. I had company the weekend it came and they were ankle deep in it. It makes for a huge clean up in the yard. They had it cut down last year.
