Title: Carden Jun 25
Post by: thouc on June 26, 2011, 01:58:30 PM
I finally got the chance to visit Carden again (last time was 6 years ago) and it was very nice even if I missed out on getting any lifers (Loggerhead Shrike, Sedge Wren, Clay-colored Sparrow, Vesper Sparrow and Least Bitten), but got a bunch of new birds for the year (Grasshopper Sparrow, Common Raven, Eastern Bluebird, Eastern Meadowlark, Wilson's Snipe, Savannah Sparrow and Swamp Sparrow). Also saw Brown Thrasher, Willow Flycatcher, Belted Kingfisher, Northern Harrier, American Kestrel and Sharp-shinned Hawk.

I love Carden and have probably said that before :)  There always seems something to see.  I went a few weeks ago and saw a few meadowlarks, which is a bird I never see anywhere else unfortunately.
