Title: Turkey Vultures - Meadowvale
Post by: Bird Brain on July 06, 2011, 08:57:36 PM
Hi everyone.  This afternoon at 2pm, 4 Turkey Vultures at Derry Rd./Financial Dr.  I thought it rather ironic that they were circling above Maple Leaf company.

lol thats great...

The school where I work is up near there and almost everyday in the fall and spring, I'd watch them circle the school yard while I was on yard duty. Yes, I did watch the children too...sometimes. They provided opportunities to educate the kids (and teachers!) in the school about our local wildlife. Other common birds were red tailed hawks, starlings and robins (of course), but also tons of barn swallows, crows, some mourning doves, and the odd killdeer.
