Post by: Napper on July 12, 2011, 07:12:31 PM
Hey!!

1)Thought I heard a Cicada on Sunday but wasn't sure, Pretty sure today as one was in our tree (Milton).. (last years first was June 30 ish), We have a whole bunch of American goldfinches hanging around, Cedar Waxwings as-well.

2) Yesterday spotted a Caspian Tern near drainage pond ,James Snow Parkway and 401 (Milton).

3) Downsview Park over the last week, Multiple species of Swallows, Chimney Swifts, Killdeer and Eastern Meadowlarks. Turkey Vultures.
100's of Red-winged blackbirds and a bunch of Kestrels. Oops almost forgot the Mockingbirds, there are a bunch o them in the area plus one that seems    really dark almost Black?

4) Front yard in Tiny has been pretty quiet, yet there are still Eastern Phoebes all around, White breasted Nuthatches, chickadee's and the Merlin makes the odd pass.

Hey Napper
I had no luck last year finding the dark Mocker. Is it in the same general area this year?
