not a great shot but the only one i was able to get as he flew by. carden a few weeks ago.

Actually it's an exceptional shot considering the subject.  It may not be up to your usual sharpness standards, but it's probably the best flight shot I've ever seen of a Common Nighthawk.

Very nice Denis.  I heard my first of the year Friday night.  Could not see it but I listened for about 2 min!  So nice that they are still around!  I fear they may disappear soon!  Nice capture of a rare bird! Cheers Terry
