Tonight or just a few minutes ago while waiting on a tardy child..
Standing in front of my house, here comes along the most different mouse I have ever seen.. tiny body, long tail and legs.. It is actually hopping
Unlike other mice or voles that I have seen this little one comes within a foot of me and stops or pauses and then slowly hops away.. My Eldest Shows up just in
time to see it next door under a truck.. She says, was that a frog?
I did a little looking and it seems to fit the Jumping mouse category. The body on the Pocket mouse is too long.
Any insights? common? unusual?

Does anyone know of a site to assist in identifying mice? We have several different types around our house -- we're in Ayton (Grey County).
