Today, we were birding at Earl Bales Park (Sheppard/Bathurst area). I saw 17 species, with a female Canada Warbler being the bird of the day. Other notables were: 1 Great Crested Flycatcher, and 1 Spotted Sandpiper. We saw one of the local Red-tails, which was missing some tail feathers. A very noisy flock of Blue Jays was also moving through the park.

Today at Rosetta McClain Gardens in Scarborough I had a good long look at a Canada Warbler that worked it's way through the park going from fruit tree to fruit tree in search of bugs.
Other birds of note were a Common Loon and a Greater Yellowlegs (Thank God for flight calls, otherwise I would've had no idea what shorebird it was).

Thanks for your sharp eyes, Walter. I must have had too much sun that day. The correct date of my sighting was August 13.
