thanks guys.
bobobird: no flash.
hummer was taken hand-held.ISO 800,1/2500 sec,f/5.6.didnt have enough light for 1/3200 sec, which is needed to freeze the wings completely.

The plant that your hummingbird is buzzing around is called "Jewelweed", and it is the BEST cure for mosquito bites, poison ivy, and bites, or stinging nettles rashes.

Just take the stem and crush it and rub it on the affected area.

It is very soothing and gooey like aloe.

It is a native plant.

yesterday, i waited 1 hr for the hummer to make an appearance. when she did, my settings were off, so i don't have any crisp pics.

Trust me...you won't be alone if you go there.

By the way, any of you Oshawaites see me on CHEX the other day? They did a story on birding vs pervs on Halls rd

The pervs have me somewhat worried though.

The police can't be there all the time.
