Title: Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Algonquin Island (Toronto)
Post by: stvgarrett on September 03, 2011, 05:02:04 PM
The highlight for me of today's OFO field trip to the Toronto Islands  was the Yellow-billed Cuckoo seen here (green arrow): http://g.co/maps/5hjw (http://g.co/maps/5hjw) And an Osprey that flew by.
Otherwise it was eerily quiet, we really only had one decent pocket of warblers and other migrants, in the same location as the Cuckoo. I'm sure they will post the report of what we saw on ONTBIRDS. I think all the local birds got wind of the air show and left town for the weekend.
