Title: Presqu'ile Provincial Park - Buff-breasted Sandpiper - Sep 3
Post by: thouc on September 03, 2011, 11:58:58 PM
Went to Presqu'ile today and had very nice close-up views of the Buff-breasted Sandpiper. There were also lots of Least and Semipalmated Sandpipers and Semipalmated Plovers, a few Sanderlings and Lesser Yellowlegs and a Pectoral Sandpiper. In the marsh i heard a Virginal Rail (still haven't seen one) and along the way to the park a Merlin was chasing some Starlings.
