Hello there
Pleased am I to present these shots, taken in ungodly light! Well, the first one had some nice light, but as you can see, the 2nd and 3rd shots gave me problems...
Still, what a bird!
Butorides virescens, indeed!

Nice shots! He was there today too but I had missed him but was rewarded graciously with an Osprey...
-
Ah yes! An osprey is a great bird b/c its name can be pronounced in two different ways; neither pronunciation is wrong!

Nice shots - love the pose in #2.
-
Really nice shots. Congrats.

Thanks, good folks. I swear to you! I'd flip out full-time if I loved somewhere "birdier" like Texas or New Jersey, but here in Ontario we have do the best with what we've got...that said, living in TX or NJ would be a little like living on different planets. As Elvis Costello said, "they're barely civilized down there!"
-
You did great with the harsh light.
Very nice shots !

Thanks, Phiddy! Heaven bless our heron friends; they keep us young while the rest of the world gets old...
