Very nice! Was he (she) talkative? I still remember my first close encounter with a northern mockingbird at the Humber Arboretum. I thought I'd struck gold and was actually disappointed when I realized all those different calls were from the same bird! :)

Extremely talkative, making the pleasure all the greater for y.t., and also nice were the 7 or 8 other mockingbirds nearby, displaying and fluttering about...

Pretty thing. We had a Mockingbird around the corner from us on Scarlett Road for about 4 years. Sadly he did not return this year.

Beautiful images. Lighting is awesome.

Thanks much, Paul.
Ah, birds!

Wow, fabulous closeups!

Yes, thank you! I felt like the luckiest man I'd ever known. But actually my favorite bird is the white-throated sparrow and all I want to do is get close and closer to him. Which is not the easiest task in the autumn in Toronto...they do like to hide and scurry. In the springtime when they're REALLY yellow, it's a different story...

Those are fabulous !!
I love the eye in the second one....really great stuff.

Ah, thanks Phiddy!
I've been admiring your photographs as well...
