Title: pine siskins?
Post by: jackbreakfast on October 19, 2011, 01:58:19 PM
I wonder if anyone has noticed any pine siskins around Toronto lately? En route to the Humber Bay Parks yesterday, I saw a few. Let me say that I'm 90% sure I saw them, anyhow...afterwards I saw a great many y.r. warblers (who look fairly similar to the p. siskins this time of year) but I will tell you that the first batch of birds had no white eye rings nor white wing bars. Yes indeed, I am 90% certain. Of course I have no pictures to prove it...
Anyhow, I wonder if anyone else has noticed any pine siskins around lately?

It's doubtful many of us will see Pine Siskins in the GTA this winter.  The Winter Finch Forecast was released.  And Mr. Pittaway is pretty accurate from what I have seen of his reports the last few years since I learned about them.
