Hi everyone. For the first time in ages, I went for a walk around Lake Aquitaine between 9:15-11:45am. Sighted the following:
Blue Jays - lots
Cardinals (m & f) - lots
Crows - lots and riled up! Thanks for the heads up re: hawk nearby. :)
Downy Woodpecker (female) x 1
Gulls - lots, mainly Ring-billed
House Sparrows - lots of males and females
Mallards - lots of males and females
Mourning Doves - lots
Red-tailed Hawk (imm. Eastern) - flew right across the front of my face then landed on nearby tree branch, proceeded to give me the Evil Eye!
Yellow-rumped Warbler x 2 (1m, 1f)
Lake Aquitaine: SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Aquitaine Ave., behind the Meadowvale Community Centre.
