Go figure, 7 years to find a Shrike (Northern or Loggerhead), and last winter 7 visits to Col. Sam Smith before I finally saw the one (two?) there and this week I have seen three already!
Two Northern Shrikes at Presquille Park, off beach area #2, along the drive. One flew in and sat atop a tree, and a couple minutes later a second flew in and kicked off the first guy.
And November 3rd, saw a Northern Shrike land in a tree right in front of us at the Kortright Centre in Vaughan.

Yeah, I saw two Northern Shrikes (or the same one twice) out on the Leslie Spit this past Saturday. Highlight of the fall for me!
