I just learned this morning that Teddy the Barred Owl from Mountsberg Raptor Centre passed away recently. How very sad. A few of us had a nice photo shoot with Teddy last December at the centre. And Angie and I have had a number of encounters with Teddy over the past year and a half ever since they started those personal encounters with some of the birds. I was quite in awe the first time Amy from the centre brought Teddy out for us to meet and have sit with us. Screech Owls are cool but a Barred Owl... just amazing! And the very last time we did the Raptor Encounter, I was thrilled to take Teddy for a walk with me about the grounds. Something that I will never forget.
Anyways, just thought I would pass this on to others here who may have met Teddy over the years she was at the centre. It's shocked and saddened me this morning, I was so looking forward to seeing her tomorrow morning as we have another Raptor Encounter booked.
R.I.P. sweet girl....

How sad! Teddy was part of our trip to Mountsberg last year and was a perfect model, so beautiful and proud. I'm sad to hear this.
