Title: Bat
Post by: farmer on November 13, 2011, 04:35:46 PM
Is it legal to post a bat photo on a birding website?
We had a bat inside our cottage in Bancroft. Not sure what kind it is.

Oh you are a quick one Dave.  LOL!

I am sure Bat photos are quite welcome here but  probably fall under the "Wildlife" categories lower down on the main page.

Thanks for posting and I have no clue myself.  Ummmmmm, Brown Bat?   :?

We get several different bats in Ontario but the most common one is the " Little Brown Bat"  ( I guess they were short of names that day). I see bats alot but never up close, just flying and I am not expert on them so I can't tell you which one it is but by odds it is a "Little Brown Bat"

Nice pictures

Haha!
I suspected it is a brown bat, but am not very familiar with them. I guess they sort of hibernate for the winter, as there will be no bugs to eat shortly?
