Hi everyone. This afternoon between 1-2pm, I was walking around Maplewood Park. At 1pm, could hear a Cooper's Hawk quite clearly and was looking around everywhere trying to find it.
Lo and Behold!, there he/she was ... a Blue Jay perched on low branch of tree, imitating a hawk, scaring squirrels and helping him/herself to shelled peanuts lunch! I see/hear this Blue Jay occasionally. He (or she) seems quite amused with the fact that it fools both squirrels and people!
