Title: Amherst Island Conditions

I was hoping to find out if there was snow on the island yet?  If so is the Marshall road open?

No snow yet, trail is open.

Thank you.  I am hoping to visit on the 14th.  Would be nice to have some snow, but not too much.  LOL.

We were there yesterday, no snow, and no owls in "Owl Woods", and the trail was wet and muddy. We did see 2 Snowys while driving around, and lots of Northern Harriers and Rough-legged Hawks.

we were there on January 6th and saw one long eared in the woods

Thank you.  I always find the woods to be feast or famine. But I enjoy the walk.  I am still planning on next Saturday, so hopefully feast.
