The Glaucous Gull was on the westernmost iced-over pond at HBE and was behaving aggressively toward the many Ring-billed Gulls, which it dwarfed. Going with Sibley, I'd call it a paler juvenile. It flew west after about fifteen minutes. The drake Northern Pintail was in amongst the docks just west of the little bridge and associating with Mallards. Also, I counted 26 Ruddy Ducks in the bay to the east of the little bridge.

I saw what could have been the same Glaucous Gull on the ice at Humber Bay West at around 3:45 this afternoon. Also there was an adult and a first winter Greater Black-backed Gull.
While I was there, I heard a little splash. I looked down an saw a mink running across the ice, jumping from flow to flow.

The timing is perfect. Also, I checked Mimico Creek after the bird flew and it wasn't there. It must have kept going.

Thanks for the tip! I swung by on Sunday and saw the Pintail. I also caught a glimpse of the Ruddy Ducks, but no sign of either gull for me. I did have a Mockingbird pose for a few photos though.

I saw the pintail yesterday, no gulls of note - there were several hundred way east past the Humber perched and flying around the breakwall, but I could only pick out 3 GBBs (1 1st winter, 2 adult) in with the hundreds of ring-bills and herring.

I was down there today and saw no interesting gulls or Pintails. The most notable bird was a Horned Grebe, riding the waves off the Southern end of the park. One Mockingbird was present along with most of the duck varieties you'd expect, including the Ruddy Ducks.
