Title: Northern Pintail
Post by: jackbreakfast on January 08, 2012, 03:09:51 PM
Nice and clean and boring shots of a nice duck in his own right, although he's no great grey owl, to be sure...possibly he could make a nice snack for one, however, although I'm quite sure big owls don't eat ducks, although I wish they would and will occasionally even dream of such misappropriation. Actually if there were a place on this planet where GGOs were known to dine on pintails, I would travel there and stay, expenses be damned...
Aloha!

Thanks folks, really, very much. I've been back to the look for the fellow but I don't think he's too crazy about this weather...will return when things cool, hopefully?

Hello Jack - saw this fellow yesterday - quite a beauty - was among the mallards and gadwalls - didn't see a mate though.

Yesterday aft an exuberant and kindly bird photographer told me he'd seen the pintail, told me where to find the bird. Just as I walked away from the nice gent I looked skyward and there was the brown beauty flying far far west, possibly to Col. Sam park, where the action is always good?
