Title: City Hawk
Post by: tonyhavana on January 08, 2012, 07:26:23 PM
Hi, New to this forum, and I mainly joined just to show a series of pictures I took of a hawk that sat just outside my balcony in downtown Toronto, (Sherbourne and Carlton area) for 3 nights, between Christmas and New Year.
When I first saw him, I ran and got my camera and started shooting. I had no way of knowing how long he'd stay there. You can clearly see that he was not happy having me behind him, and there was a black squirrel starting to pester him. So he walked/hopped to a slightly higher branch, further from the trunk and where he could look directly at us. But we couldn't see him so clearly anymore. After he left the first perch, the squirrel went and sniffed around that perch. (in pics) He came at around 4 pm and left between 7 and 8 am. This went on for  3 days.
Anyway, here's a link to the un-edited photos.
Thanks for reading.
