Title: RFI from London, ON
Post by: momofjbsl on May 20, 2007, 08:24:31 AM
Hi everyone,

I sure hope I've done this correctly.  I was trying to follow the instructions in the "board related" section.

This photo was taken by my nephew in Killaly Park in London last week.  We're trying to identify it.

Thank you for your help.

Looks like a Warbling Vireo with its head feathers puffed up.

Thanks, Iain.  My nephew said he thought it was in the same tree where he had seen a warbling vireo earlier.  There was also some thought it might be a flycatcher of some sort so I'll pass on your opinion and thanks again so much.

That heavy bill with the slight hook on the tip makes it a vireo, not a flycatcher.  Warbling it is.

Thanks for the added info on how to id the vireos.
