someone please correct me if i'm wrong.
this guy was feeding on Hall's Rd. very unshy (got about 3 feet from my two feet).

I think the rusty brown would extend further down on the flank of an Oregon although the back and hood are quite convincing. How's that for a non-committal response? Someone in the forum recently noted how variable Juncos can be.

There are those intermediate/mixed "Cassiar" Juncos also. This one definitely looks like it has "Oregon" genes in it, but I'm not sure whether it's pure or not.
