Title: springtime on the Don River path?
Post by: mr.sharp-photo on January 31, 2012, 03:58:11 PM
I just came back from a stroll with my wife. LOTS of spring-esque activity at the Beechwood wetlands.

-18 cedar waxwings (99% sure they're not Bohemian)
-6+ robins
-2 to 4 downy woodpeckers
-1 or 2 raptors (likely the local RTH that live on Bayview)
-2 cardinals
-3 starlings

The rest of the trail was stone silent except for this spot. The birds were feeding off the sumach tree on the path across from the wetlands' viewing station. The robins were also in the tree and shrubs on the north side of the sumach patch.
